Lab Diagnostics (Thyroid) | Webinar June 15 2020

On Monday, June 15 at 7:00 PM EDT IHN hosted a 1 hour webinar, where Andréa Proulx took a deep dive into thyroid lab testing. The thyroid is a sensitive gland that regulates many biochemical pathways affecting metabolism and weight, mood and energy, and optimizes many hormones including playing a role in fertility. Learn how common laboratory testing for thyroid function may not offer a complete picture of thyroid health and function. Andréa discussed a variety of thyroid tests and the potential pitfalls of interpretation of the results. Students and practitioners got a better understanding of what to look for on thyroid lab results and how to make more informed treatment decisions.
