Doug and team met with and had some very informative and providential meetings with the Mayor, the Police Chief, the County Judge, some State officials, the Lieutenant Colonel of Texas Guard, and other Troopers, BP, CBP, and Law Enforcement officers. We were also able to bring some appreciation, encouragement and prayed for many.

We brought as gifts of encouragement many “Behind The Lines” devotionals for Texas National Guard, State Troopers, and Border Patrol, as well as many “Behind The Badge” devotionals as gifts for Police Officers and First Responders. These along with many of my “Leadership Awakening” books were well received.

Somebody Cares was blessed to host and cover lunches with some leaders, as well as showing appreciation by meeting with and covering dinner for some current and former BP Agents. We had many opportunities to listen and share encouragement and prayers.
We are working on ways to further serve the community, and have been asked to continue to bring Healing and Hope throughout the region.

Continue to pray for this crisis that is overwhelming on many levels and for wisdom and strategy on the ways Somebody Cares can continue bringing encouragement and hope.
