Undercurrents Presents GRASSROOTS a short doc on the cannabis movement in the 1990s. From the huge London campaigns to Free Rob Cannabis, even Howard Marks getting arrested at the world-famous annual legalise cannabis protest that was held on Southsea Common Portsmouth UK from 1994 to 2003, which was when the Labour Party declassified it down from a Class B to Class C, yet changed it back after a couple of years once the movement disbanded. Smokey Bears Picnic attracted many thousands from all over the country. Becoming not only the most in yer face protest of its day but also the longest-running one in the whole of Europe.
