Rethinking America's Fiscal Priorities

For the fiscal year of 2024, the U.S. budget allocates 739 billion dollars for interest costs. This is almost the same as Americas 922 billion dollar defense budget. These are crazy numbers, but the government cant find any extra money for defending its own boarder, taking care of its veterans, or improving education. The American government needs to reevaluate its priorities and provide and protect for its people.
