I compare the Ruger 96/22 lever action rifle and the Ruger 10/22 semi-automatic rifle. I discuss the similarities and differences between the two firearms and enjoy shooting some targets at the range in this episode of Guns Gear & Freedom.

The Ruger 96/22 and Ruger 10/22 are made using the same stock. The only difference I can see is that the Ruger 96/22 lever action rifle has a lever action receiver and bolt assembly while the Ruger 10/22 semi-automatic rifle has the a semi-auto receiver and bolt. The triggers are entirely different between the two rifles, however when shooting them, the rifles do feel much like each other and shoot about the same. Both rifles have interchangeable magazines and the BX25, hot lips and Butler Creek banana magazines can be used in booth guns flawlessly in addition to the factory rotary magazine.
