Detroit police officer shot, two women killed during ongoing barricaded gunman situation

A Detroit police officer was shot in the knee and two women have been killed during a barricaded situation on the city's east side. It happened around 10:00 p.m. Sunday on Lamont Street near 7 Mile and Mound Road. It is still going on as of 5 a.m. Monday. The officer was taken to the hospital. He's listed in stable condition. Police also tell 7 Action News that two women have been killed at the scene and another man was also injured. Police say there are two shooters involved in this situation. Both are believed to have barricaded themselves inside homes that are next door to each other. Police believe the shooters know each other. It's unclear which one is accused of shooting the police officer.
