Dragon Quest XI, playthrough part 3 (with commentary)

The Hero and Erik catch up with his former partner. To Erik's surprise Erik's partner did not betray him. He bribed the guard to help Erik's escape. Unfortunately Derk no longer had the orb. He gave it to the King for a sum and his favor. Derk heard they were taking it to the King's Barrow. So the Hero and Erik have a new destination. It is close to Cobblestone, so they could go to Cobblestone on the way. They still had to avoid the King's guards, so they would have to leave Helidor in an indirect route.
