Russian marines 'storm Ukrainian soldiers hidden in ruined buildings'

The Russian Ministry of Defence has released a video showing an alleged assault on Ukrainian military positions carried out by units of the 155 Separate Guards Zhukov Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet. The purported attack was recorded on the front line near the settlement of Novomy Khailivka, in the Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine on February 16. The ministry said in a statement: 'During the advance, the marines stealthily move towards the line of contact and assault enemy positions located in partially destroyed buildings and homes abandoned by civilians. 'With the support of artillery from the troop grouping and assault aviation, the Pacific Fleet personnel simultaneously attack the enemy on multiple converging fronts, steadily advancing. 'Scouts and electronic warfare assets are employed to detect and suppress enemy drones, posing a threat to Russian military personnel. 'Each group includes aerial observers who promptly recognise airborne threats. Upon visual detection of enemy drones, they are neutralised using small arms fire.'
