Wild Turkeys

Wild turkeys are large birds native to North America, known for their striking plumage and distinctive gobbling calls. They have brown feathers with iridescent hints of green, bronze, and copper, and males sport colorful displays of feathers that they puff out during courtship rituals. These birds are omnivores, foraging for seeds, nuts, insects, and even small reptiles or amphibians.

Their habitat ranges from forests to grasslands, where they roost in trees at night for safety from predators. Wild turkeys are highly social and often seen in flocks, especially during the breeding season. Despite their large size, they are surprisingly agile flyers, capable of reaching speeds up to 55 miles per hour in short bursts.
