Who founded McDonald's ?
McDonald's, the global fast-food chain, was founded by Richard and Maurice McDonald. The brothers opened their first restaurant in San Bernardino, California in 1940, initially offering a simple menu of hamburgers, fries, and beverages. They developed a highly efficient and streamlined cooking and serving system, which allowed them to provide quick and consistent service to their customers. In 1954, Ray Kroc, a milkshake machine salesman, saw the potential for the McDonald's concept to be expanded nationally and purchased the rights to franchise the brand. Under Kroc's leadership and vision, McDonald's grew into a worldwide phenomenon, known for its iconic golden arches, famous Big Macs, and Happy Meals. The original McDonald brothers ultimately sold their stake in the company to Kroc, who is widely credited with transforming McDonald's into the fast-food empire it is today.
