Erevna Den - Dark Thoughts : The First

Since the first season of Erevna Den, and the turn of 2024, we have seen and felt a change in the atmosphere of the spiritual. Things seem to be coming to light on a faster pace. Along with that, has been an increase in the spiritual oppression from the enemy. We can sense the restoration of God’s Plan coming to fruition, be we also feel a heightened pull to throw in the towel and to have agreement with the Dark Thoughts which are growing in our minds.

In today’s episode...which is more of an introduction...we will begin to look at and contemplate these thoughts and urges we are having to start taking notice that this indeed is part of the warfare we are engaging in, and how to overcome it. We will delve into defraging our weary minds and focus on restructuring them through the techniques which C. S. Lewis has used, with Reductio ad Absurdum, The Tertium Quid and the Trilemma; taking a look at to what it the truth behind good and evil and how we need to align in with what the Lord is calling us to do, based on His Plans, not just to our own, if at all.

1. What are the deepest yearnings of your heart? Think of a time when you were far away from God. What was it like? What put you back on the road to him?

2. How do you find strength in difficult or spiritually dry times? What pools do you draw from? Where do you find your joy/

3. What are the ways you feel vulnerable on your humanity? What parts of yourself need God’s protection? In times of temptation, who is your shield?

4. When are you most aware of God’s loving presence? What do you need to let go of, so that you can receive God’s good gifts this Lenton season? What do you need to trust Him with?
