"If Julian Assange is extradited, he will die"

Speaking ahead of Julian Assange's critical UK court hearing next week, his wife Stella Assange on Thursday said that it was inconceivable that her husband could be "sent to the very country that planned to assassinate him in the UK", and that there was "no prospect" of a fair trial in the US.

Referencing comments from the UN's torture expert last week that the conditions Julian Assange would be held in the US would amount to torture, the publishers wife told assembled journalists that "if Julian is extradited, he will die.”

It is completely against the evidence to say that the US or UK are "free countries" or have a "free press".
If the US or UK were free countries Julian Assange would never have been arrested let alone incarcerated for years for the non-crime of doing journalism, and if they had a free press the corporate media would be demanding his release, as it is an atrocity against a free society.
