NOTES ON THE 1-17-24 CLASS
>> I think this class was as good as any Bible class that has ever taken place anywhere, any time, no matter whether at a university, a church, a monastery, or anywhere else. I recommend the video to everyone.
>> Special thanks to Doug for his outstanding contributions.

CORRECTIONS TO MY STATEMENTS AT THE 1-17-24 CLASS
>> From 30:42 to 31:09 I was making recommendations about books to give insight into the meaning of the life and teachings of Jesus. I said “If you want to have insight into the meaning of the life and teachings of Jesus, the two best books to read, aside from the ancient books, … the two books that I would most recommend are Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and Illusions, both by Richard Bach.” In my statement I was referring to beginner-level books. A Course in Miracles provides a thousand times more insight into the meaning of the life and teachings of Jesus than everything else ever written (including the five gospels and all of the other ancient books) all combined together, but it is not a beginner-level book. The same could probably be said for a small number of similar modern books.
>> At 1:35:05 and again at 1:37:05 I said that the next class would take place in two weeks. January has five Wednesdays, and my plan is to hold class on the first and third Wednesdays through the end of June, so in fact the next class will take place three weeks after the 1-17-2024 class.
