160 years ago, an unknown photographer took a circular panorama of the city from the Admiralty Tower. Until recently, its only copy was kept in the library of the Marble Palace.

In 2011, a LiveJournal user published a retouched version of the panorama. Looking at the old footage, it can be seen that the Palace Bridge is still floating, the Admiralty Embankment has not been reconstructed, and the Rumyantsev Garden does not exist.
