Mystery of the Kingdom Part 1

In this video we attempt to begin unraveling the mystery of the Kingdom of God, which is spoken of many times throughout, and is indeed the subject of, the Bible.

Jesus told His disciples in Mark 4:11 And He was saying to them, “To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but those who are outside get everything in parables, 12 so that WHILE SEEING, THEY MAY SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE, AND WHILE HEARING, THEY MAY HEAR AND NOT UNDERSTAND, OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT RETURN AND BE FORGIVEN.”

Apparently, Jesus not only spoke in parables to explain himself and the mystery to those who followed Him, but also to conceal them from those who do not. Our modern preachers give a "come one, come all" approach to Christianity, saying that anyone and everyone can "accept Jesus" and be saved. Did Jesus Himself teach that doctrine? These verses seem to indicate that Jesus taught just the opposite. He plainly stated He was hiding truth from some people to PREVENT them from hearing, repenting and being forgiven. Jesus was clearly distinguishing between His followers and the "religious community". Could that still be true today?

In due time, Lord willing, we will try to address many points of doctrine that have overtaken our Christian churches. We will try our best to refine them using the consuming fire of God's word, so that any impurity can be burned away, leaving us the pure gold of God's truth. There is so much to cover, just in the subject of the Kingdom. This will not be a comprehensive lesson, but rather the beginning of a study that I pray will cause all of us to dig deeper into God's word and learn of Him. Please do not take my words for anything, UNLESS they agree with the scripture. I beg you to follow the example from Acts 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews, 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

In this video I begin addressing this subject and more about the Mystery of the Kingdom in full light of God's word, and in full context of both New and Old Testament scriptures, whereby we can begin to come to a better understanding of God's perfect word.

I pray this will be a blessing to those who Jesus allows to see and hear His word, and will help edify His body, the ekklēsia.
