Part 3 The Godfather of Montgomery County

Recap:
•2014: County Commissioner James Noack is accused of harrassing 7 different women. (An underlying issue of this harassment seems to be the questioning of payroll.)

•A $26,000 settlement is authorized by the county for one plaintiff.

•2018: New county positions are elected in an effort to clean up corruption. Part of this group is the county judge and treasurer.

•Just before they take office the commissioners approve the purchase of a $19,000,000 ERP system that will take extra manpower to implement.

•The treasurer asks for staffing to help implant the ERP software. County Commissioner James Noack clearly hates her and says no.

•Treasurer employees work around the clock to implement the software

•Meanwhile County Commissioner James Noack spends $12,000 of county money on a month on a contract with his lawyer friend.

•Noack then hires his friend’s wife to do admin work, specifically payroll, paying her a HUGE salary. More than county attorneys get paid. ($80k/year)
