Representative Jason Smith (R-MO) says he’s been working on pulling back or rerouting $80 billion allocated to the IRS through the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. “They are still in the process of trying to improve technology. They’re still in the process of trying to improve customer service,” Rep. Smith says. “As I said, they need to get in the process [of] protecting taxpayer information. That’s what we have to continue to push.”
