7 reasons why you should travel solo at least once 👇🏻

My first solo travel trip was to New York. And I was so scared, I didn’t even want to board the plane. It was scary and unknown.

Since then, I’ve traveled to more than 9 countries (at the top of my head this number is closer to 14 or 15) as a solo female traveler.

Below here are my top tips on why you should travel solo:

1️⃣ Independence
Traveling solo is a great opportunity to practice independence and make all the decisions by yourself for yourself. Great for someone who always need confirmation to learn to deceit for their own.

2️⃣ Freedom
You will have the option to craft your own perfect itinerary. Every decision will be yours. No compromising on what to see, what to do and how to do it.

3️⃣ Self-Discovery
Find yourself and who you really are. Try new things and follow your own interests. You will learn to trust your instincts and go with your gut.

4️⃣ New friendships
As a solo traveler, you will be much more approachable than traveling with a group. You will have to make more conversations with people you meet along the way.

5️⃣ Solo by Choice
You will be alone when you want to be. You will travel solo, but will have as much or as little ‘me’ time as desired. Most probably you will meet other solo travelers out there.

6️⃣ Continuous Learning
You will be forced to be more alert and pay more attention to your surroundings. By that, you will also learn more about the destination, people and yourself.

7️⃣ Confidence boost
Solo travel will give you a boost your confidence, since you will see that you are capable to handle unexpected situations and all the challenges that might occur.
