Nothing helps our doctors connect with the patients at Weill Cornell Medicine better than their own personal medical experiences. For Dr. Jaclyn Bonder—Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine—creating lasting doctor/patient relationships with her female patients is strengthened by her special insight into the complications that can arise during pregnancy.

After undergoing fertility treatments, Dr. Bonder suffered complications that required surgery. When her son was born early at only 33 weeks, she was able to experience first-hand just how important the bond is between doctors, nurses and patients. Now, as she works with her female patients who live with musculoskeletal conditions, she can better relate to their unique pains, frustrations and daily obstacles.

At Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Bonder has been able to flourish as she pursues her passion for working with women. Her level of caring, compassion and understanding for the special needs of her female patients is unparalleled and just one of the many reasons why she is such a valuable member of our team.
