We visited Winnipeg & Churchill in Late July to see Polar Bears & Beluga Whales.
It's the best time to see Beluga whales since they are giving birth to their young.
It's a little early for Polar Bears because the ice on Hudson Bay hasn't returned to the shore. However, some Polar Bears are active at this time so you can see them and their young.

Part 1: We visit the Polar Bear exhibit at the Winnipeg Zoo and then head to Churchill to see them in their native habitat. We observed Polar Bears on the shore and swimming in Hudson Bay.

Part 2: We observed a Polar Bear catching a goose in a lake and then taking it to shore to eat while another Polar Bear joins it (probably related) and they head off into the bush after rolling around to scratch their backs.

Part 3: We see an Arctic Fox lying in the grass. We visit a Sled Dog kennel. We observe Beluga Whales by Kayak, Zodiac, and large Motor Catamaran. . Highlights are baby belugas swimming close by and a large group feeding next to the boat.

We stayed at the Lazy Bear Lodge and they arranged all the tours:
