He was forced to eat a chevron with the Ukrainian flag. They tried to rape him, tortured him with electric shock and beat him in several Russian prisons. In order not to die of hunger, he ate a brood of worms and a live rat. Oleksiy Anulya is a kickboxer from Chernihiv and a former prisoner of war who did not think he would survive capture and tried to hang himself in the cell. After his return, he has been undergoing rehabilitation for almost a year and says that he does not feel joy because his friends remained in captivity. He openly shared his story with Suspilne Chernihiv.

Його змушували з’їсти шеврон з українським прапором. Намагалися зґвалтувати, катували струмом та били у декількох російських тюрмах. Щоб не померти з голоду він з’їв виводок хробаків та живого пацюка. Олексій Ануля — чернігівський кікбоксер та колишній військовополонений, не думав, що переживе полон і намагався повіситися в карцері. Після повернення вже майже рік проходить реабілітацію і каже, що не відчуває радості, бо в полоні залишились його друзі. Своєю історією відверто поділився з Суспільним.
