The 2012 Benghazi Terrorist Attack - Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi

9-11-2012. That was a day most red-blooded Americans will never forget.

As a US Army Veteran, I know I never will.

That was the day we lost a US Ambassador and personal friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Ambassador Chris Stevens.

We also lost a civilian contractor, Sean Smith, and two former Navy SEALs, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. All of their deaths could have been avoided and SHOULD have. So many absolute blunders and horrible decisions were made that night, and the weeks leading up to that night, that people should have gone to prison at a minimum. Instead, it's difficult to say anyone, ANYONE, has even been held accountable, other than possibly losing an election over it.

Last week the attendees of the SEHIA Conference in San Antonio had the amazing opportunity to hear a first-hand account of what really happened that night from one of the survivors, John "Tig" Tiegen. John was working as a CIA contractor, providing security for the covert CIA annex that was less than a mile away from the US Consulate that was attacked in the early evening of 9-11-12.

John dispelled some rumors, confirmed others, and most importantly, gave an almost minute-by-minute account of the cowardly actions of some, and the incredibly heroic actions of others, as that fateful night unfolded. How did the United States, with the most powerful military in the world, a massive intelligence apparatus, political and economic influence in every corner of the world, and an intimate understanding of terror groups not be fully prepared to defend our strategic assets, let alone a US Ambassador, on the anniversary of 9-11?

Above all else, all of us need to ask ourselves "What kind of leaders, political or military, would abandon their own citizens?" And as a follow on to that question, do we really want them in charge today? Each of us needs to answer that for ourselves but I think I make it clear how I would answer that.
