5 tips for taking photos/video of yourself in when traveling solo 👇🏻

1️⃣ Plan ahead!
That way you will have a rough idea of what you want to have in your photo. A vision. Having a vision will not make it less scary. And there will still be a lot of improvisation. But the whole process will take less time.

2️⃣ Use a tripod and timer
I don’t have a tripod but I use a timer and put my phone on random places.
You can also record a video and then use a frame you like as a photo.

3️⃣ Take you time
I never get the show on my first take. It took me 14 of them to get this one. Don’t rush and take your time.

4️⃣ Focus on the goal
People will stare and look at you. There is no denying but try to ignore them and focus on the goal. Why are you doing this? If you are just starting out, pretend you are getting paid $$$ for a single shot or just imagine that people walking by are thinking ‘I wish to be that confident when taking photos’.

5️⃣ Be comfortable by being you!
Don’t compare yourself with others. It is overwhelming seeing stunning photos and perfect gowns. But that doesn’t mean you have to do it! If doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Be you and wear something that makes you feel good and confident. Jeans, joga pants, skirt or shorts.
