DDD2C Community Outreach Recap
14
Our motivation to starting our nonprofit DDD2C aimed to address gun violence awareness stems from a deeply personal and heartbreaking experience. Driven by the profound impact of losing our son Derrick Jr. at such a young age, I am compelled to channel our grief into positive action. Our goal is to raise awareness about the devastating consequences of gun violence, advocate for sensible gun control measures, and provide support to other families affected by similar tragedies. Through our nonprofit, we aim to honor our son's memory by working towards a safer and more compassionate community, where the devastating effects of gun violence are acknowledged and addressed as well as economic issues.
