A life-threatening injury shocked the Michigan High School Hockey family.

In a game between Cadillac and Traverse City West, #19 for Travers City, Brady Lewis was critically injured.

Brady reportedly suffered a neck/spine injury during the game where parents and Dr. Mark Munro performed CPR and stabilized the young man before he was taken to the hospital.

Officials say Brady had surgery and will be in a halo spinal brace for several weeks, but he is on the road to a full recovery.
