Upper Peninsula Community Loses Home Healthcare And Hospice

The Chippewa County Health Department, in the Upper Peninsula, has announced its Home Health and Hospice division will cease operation.
According to the group, the decision was made by the Chippewa County Board of Commissioners in November.
They say the decision was based on “changes in eligibility and reimbursement set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other factors that impact the Health Department’s ability to sustain the program.”
