Storm Shield Forecast morning update 2/7/18

As a result of a desert wind, temperatures will jump to the upper 70s in the valley today with more upper 70s in the Kern Desert, mid-70s in the Kern River Valley and mid to upper 60s in the south mountains of Tehachapi and Frazier Park. Officially, Bakersfield looks to top out at 79 today, very close to today's record high of 81 degrees set back in 1987.
