Fans take out mass shooter at Kansas City Super Bowl parade

At least one person has died and 22 injured following a mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade, but those numbers would have been far higher if not for one fan who tackled one of the gunmen.

As the three gunmen fled the scene, a stampede broke out in the crowd as terrified onlookers tried to reach safety. Paul Contreras, however, did not flee. He stayed and fought. Video of the immediate aftermath shows Contreras tackling one of the gunmen, preventing further bloodshed. He later told local media ‘I didn’t think about it. I really just… reaction. I didn’t hesitate; it was just, ‘Just do it’.’
