Poem: Freedom Can Be A Burden

Freedom can be a burden
A bird knows its role
But a man has the right to choose
What is good for his soul
But what if he doesn’t know?

Then he will go off the deep end
Searching for his place at the world’s pace
He’ll bury his face when the prayer fades

And slowly, he will understand why a sailor becomes a banker
Or how a king became a slave
There is no right way
Except the path that is right for him

If he could only listen
