It causes what is known as Nutrient Lockout, which can be caused by different issues. AO SINCE YOU CAN HAVE A SOIL pH from around 5.2 - 7.2 or so, we can use a less than exact methodology to discern which way the soil may likely need to fall or rise in alkalinity or acidity. cannabis plants prefer a slightly acidic environment, hence the seedlings preferring a 5 pH.
