Guelphissauga News: Strong Mayor Powers, Bad Bylaw Evictions, Safe Spaces, & Tiny Homes | Feb 2024

The Fellowship of Guelphissauga continues with the Mayor flexing his Strong Powers on the Tent Encampment downtown. At his annual State of the Shire speech, the Mayor announced his plans to the surprise of the Council of Elders. He wanted to flex his Strong Powers to cut next year's tax increase down to 4% and to clear the tents ruining the view from his office window. Meanwhile in the tent encampment downtown, Greggles of Dorval and his camping friends received threatening notices from unofficial sources. Instead of helping them, like the Tiny Homes group was doing, they were mistakenly given notices saying to clear out. Can Carly of Klassen and the Elder Elves do anything about the Housing Cost Crisis and will the Mayor clear the camps with his Strong Powers?
