Mayorkas Impeached! NOTHING will change

The House impeached DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in a 214 to 213 vote. He is only the second cabinet member to be impeached in US history. His seemingly willful neglect of secure the border and allowing millions of people to come into this country has put the American people, and the country as whole, in jeopardy. Other than putting an impeachment footnote next to his name in the history books, nothing is going to change. There will be no trial in the Senate. He will NOT be removed from office, and even if he were, he would be replaced by someone just as bad as him or worse. While nothing will truly come of it at least the Republicans (except the 3 cowards that need to be voted out of office) are starting to actually follow through with campaign promises and make some effort at getting rid of the rot in Washington DC. In other words, they are giving the appearance of trying to drain the swamp. Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, TRUMP 2024!
