Gina Carano sued Disney and Lucasfilm
Gina Carano sued Disney and Lucasfilm, accused them of unjustified dismissal, and demanded to return to the role in "Mandalorian".
The actress claimed that she was discriminated against: while her male colleagues who worked on "Mandalorian" could freely express their opinions on political issues and publish offensive notes about Republicans, Disney recognized her comments on social networks as inciting hatred or enmity and fired her because of this.
Elon Musk and his company X (formerly Twitter) financially supported Carano in her litigation with Disney and Lucasfilm. The actress published several posts and comments, because of which she was fired from the Mandalorian, namely in X, and Musk previously stated that he would help those who would face discrimination at work for writing on his social network and, accordingly, violating freedom of speech.
