For many people, Valentine’s Day is a commercialized day representing romance and buying chocolates in heart-shaped boxes. But the kind of love we are going to talk about is not about romantic love at all and may not be a comfortable, fuzzy subject for all watching. However, it’s part of the mission behind Defenders USA and Defenders LIVE and we think it’s critical to understand and contemplate.

As defenders of our homes, our families and our hearts, we believe that love (not hate) should be rooted deeply in our everyday thoughts and actions. And should that dreadful day ever come that we are forced to defend ourselves or those we love, we have at least thought it through and understand that the reason we have chosen to be a defender is not because of hate, but all because of love.
