Pre-spawn creek crappie fishing

We are in an East Texas creek fishing for crappie. The crappie are moving shallow for the spawn and are getting fattened up. We are using 1/8oz crappie jigs in black and truss or purple and truss made by Handtiedcrappiejigs.com. Also using ACCCrappiestix in 5.5 ft and 10ft with braided line.
