Leaders to deliver "State of Heroin Crisis" report Tuesday afternoon

Just how bad was the heroin and opioid epidemic last year? A report is expected to be released Tuesday detailing the impact the epidemic had in Hamilton County in 2017 and the plans local leaders have to battle the crisis this year. Officials with the Hamilton County Heroin Coalition are planning to deliver a "State of Heroin Crisis" update at 2 p.m. Tuesday that will include new data on the toll the crisis has had on local communities. Preliminary data from local county coroner offices show that epidemic is likely to blame for another record year of deaths tied to drug overdoses in 2017.
