Witchcraft and Wicca are often conflated, but they have distinct differences. Witchcraft is a broad term that refers to the practice of magical arts, which can be part of various cultural and religious traditions worldwide. It's a practice that may or may not involve spirituality.

Wicca, on the other hand, is a specific modern pagan religion that emerged in the mid-20th century, founded by Gerald Gardner. It incorporates witchcraft as part of its religious practice, emphasizing reverence for nature, the God and Goddess, and the observance of seasonal festivals known as Sabbats. While all Wiccans practice witchcraft as part of their religion, not all who practice witchcraft identify as Wiccan, making witchcraft a component of Wicca but not its sole defining feature.
