The Mark of God's Children | John MacArthur Classics

Pastor John MacArthur, in one of his earliest sermons from 1969, clearly preaches how the Bible tells us about the marks of a child of God. He discusses what it means to be a child of God, and how we can know if we are one. Pastor John references specific passages from the Bible to explain the three marks of a child of God: the bestowal of sonship, the hope of sonship, and the manifestation of sonship. The bestowal of sonship is when God makes us His children. The hope of sonship is the promise that we will be like Jesus Christ when He returns. The manifestation of sonship is when we live our lives in a way that pleases God.
