Thank you for everyone's concern about Katie the Great Dane's Osteosarcoma diagnosis. Today was supposed to be a trip to the Oncologist for a Zoledronate infusion, but the stress of the trip to the Vet caused Katie's temperature to rise to 105 degrees (normal is 102.5) so the clinic didn't want to do her treatment until her temperature dropped. Her blood work showed elevated Kidney levels which required a urinalysis, the results of which won't be back until tomorrow, so today was a six stressful hours at the vet without the planned bone strengthening infusion. Thankfully an hour after being back at home, Katie's temperature was back to 102.2 We should know tomorrow if Katie has a urinary tract infection which could be causing her elevated levels. Katie is happily napping after eating a good snack and drinking some water. Aside from the time at the Vet, Katie was quite happy travelling in a Mini Van, which is perfect Great Dane height and fits the mobile Katie Cave.
