Two Israeli hostages who were rescued from captivity during a raid by special forces in Rafah, southern Gaza, have been reunited with their loved ones at the Sheba Hospital near Tel Aviv.

Louis Har, 70, and Fernando Simon Marman, 61, both taken from Kibbutz Nir Yizhak in the 7 October Hamas attacks, appeared stunned by their sudden rescue after more than four long months.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed the rescue as a "perfect operation", but a deal has not yet been struck with Hamas to return the remaining hostages and Israeli military action on Gaza continues.
