The Greenville Sheriff's Office has released a video of a deputy-involved shooting from December of last year.

Lt. Ryan Flood said a 911 call came in at about 5:15 p.m. December 27 about a disturbance between a man and woman at a home on Pequot Drive in Greenville.

McDonald later comes out of his front door, holding a gun. Deputies tell him to put it down. He instead goes back inside. Deputies positioned near the home's back gate yell to McDonald, telling him to drop his weapon repeatedly.

Lt. Ryan Flood with the Sheriff's Office says at this time, SLED is still investigating whether McDonald shot first.
Flood said McDonald pointed his gun at deputies, and deputies shot due to the immediate threat to their lives.
McDonald died at the scene.
