Smith and Wesson 4046 vs Smith and Wesson SD40VE vs Glock 23 - 40 S&W range day accuracy reliability

Shooting a few 40 S&W guns side by side for accuracy and reliability with Herters flat nose, Blazer Auminum Cased flat nose, and Speer Gold Dot.

The 4046 has such a long trigger, I often pull the gun down when shooting, I have to really think about squeezing the trigger to be accurate with it. The SD40VE is the lightest of the three, it has the most recoil but I am very accurate with it because it is familiar. The Glock once in a while I have trouble with the trigger reset and the sights are a bit unfamiliar to me still, but once I get it on target, I am pretty accurate with it.

Ironically, the only reliability issue I had today was 2 rounds in the Glock that failed to eject- this is a Gen 2 Glock so maybe I. Red a new extractor.

Overall a good range day, shot a lot of ammo, and got home safe and sound. I love these range days, gives me more confidence in my guns and in my ability to hit my target.

Practice is paramount.
