Irish Basketball Team Refuses To Shake Hands With Israeli Opponents

Ireland's national women's basketball team refused to shake hands with their Israeli counterparts or line up opposite them for the playing of national anthems following allegations from Israel describing the team as "anti-Semitic." Ireland's basketball federation had intended to boycott the fixture before being informed by basketball's governing federation that doing so would incur a large fine.
