ScanPyramids 2017 Video Report

Video details about ScanPyramids Big Void 2017 discovery published in Nature on November 2nd 2017
and more about ScanPyramids North Face Corridor announced in October 2016 and refined in 2017.

Why did it stop?

Muon Radiography:
The team used muon radiography, a technique that uses cosmic ray particles (muons) to probe objects and construct 3-D models of their insides, to identify the void.

The "Big Void" (SP-BV):
The ScanPyramids team published their findings in Nature on November 2, 2017, revealing a large void above the Grand Gallery of the Pyramid of Khufu.

Characteristics of the SP-BV:
The void has a length of at least 30 meters (98 feet).
It has a similar cross-section to the Grand Gallery.
It was observed by three teams of physicists from different points of view (2 points of view in the Queen's Chamber and from outside in front of the North Face).
North Face Corridor:
In 2023, the ScanPyramids team, using the same technology, discovered a corridor behind the north face chevron area, which they named the ScanPyramids-North Face Corridor (SP-NFC).

Further Research:
Scientists continue to study the voids and the pyramid's internal structure to understand its construction and purpose.
