Blazing Saddles (1974) 50th Anniversary Retro Review

Review and analysis of the 1974 Mel Brooks western comedy Blazing Saddles staring Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder, Harvey Korman, and Slim Pickens.

In the movie Cleavon Little is a black man selected by a corrupt politician played by Harvey Korman to be the new sheriff of a frontier western town in order to destroy it for his own personal gain. However, Cleavon Little’s sheriff Bart is a lot more capable at taming a racist white western town than anyone would’ve thought.
