Matthew 5:13-18, light and darkness

Matthew 5:14-16, we are living today in the last days, the light of Christ is still given to people, but they progressively choose to hide it

2 Timothy 3:1-5, in the last days, the culture continues to decline in morality- losing God consciousness

2 Timothy 4:3-4, towards the end of the last days, the church will become apostate

Matthew 5:13, worldliness will destroy the testimony of believers. The light of Christ and the lust of the world do not go together.

James 1:12-15, the progression into sin, from unusual desire to fatal desire, and then death

Acts 26:17-18, the translation: Christ brought forth His sheep from out among the world, to turn them away from death and darkness and into the light, removed the penalty of sin from them, and brought them into sanctification

Matthew 5:17-18, Jesus Christ fulfilled the Mosaic law, put the social law (of old Israel) away, the moral law remained (the Word of God cannot be destroyed and the truth of God will not change or be corrupted), but the power of Christ made it possible for people to live in the moral law. The law was shown to prove to people what they were incapable of and how sinful they were, but then Christ came and fulfilled the law, and only in Christ can people stand victorious against sin.
