02/07/2024 FTV News: During the Spring Festival travel rush, heavy snowfall struck many parts of China, leaving numerous travelers stuck on highways for 3 days. The traffic jams and road closures exacerbated the situation, with people enduring hunger and thirst in the harsh cold weather. Official relief efforts were absent, with only local villagers assisting spontaneously. Even high-speed trains were affected, as the overhead power lines froze, reducing the speed to as low as 32 kilometers per hour.
