Russia already has one of the largest nuclear arsenals in the world, deployed strategically across its land. Now, it has declared 2024 as the year when it expands its nuclear ammo even further, from land, air and sea.

Take these along with Russia's recent battleground advancements in Avdiivka in Eastern Ukraine. Top that, with its deft Russian diplomacy in West Asia where its arch enemy U.S. is experiencing near-daily attacks. All these are setting a trend for 2024, which surely has President Vladmimir Putin smiling.

And His next stop? Is NATO state Turkiye, where the Russian leader will make his first major international trip, if all goes well.
