Planting American Persimmon in zone 6a for whitetail deer

The American persimmon (diospyros virginiana) is an excellent winter food supply for whitetail deer. They tolerate moist conditions well. They're also hardy and low maintenance.

I've fussed over these to give me the best growth possible, but you could easily plant some with less fuss than this.
