Ep #186: The problem of politicians who blatantly lie.

We know politicians lie.

It's the old saying isn't it: "How do you know a politician is lying? When his lips are moving!"

It's also pretty true that almost all of us lie. We call them white lies. We call them little lies.

When Julie asks me "how do I look?", I always tell her she looks beautiful and indeed she does, but some husbands have been known to say to their wives that they look terrific when they actually do not.

Some husbands have learned not to tell the truth, but I don't have such a problem because I have such a beautiful wife.

Brutal honesty is tough and it can lead to a reduction of your friends.

Our lack of self-awareness also makes brutal honestly difficult because if I said to you, "why do you do something", many people really don't know!

That's why the self-awareness journey and the way that I help my coaching clients gain self-awareness is so important: you discover more about yourself so you can make better decisions for your life.

So brutal honesty not only loses you friends, but is very difficult to identify.

Over the last few weeks Australia's federal and state politicians have been telling bigger and bigger and bigger blatant lies.

Anthony Albanese, the Prime Minister, recasts his lies, and says "they're not lies. I'm just changing my position".

These politicians are blatantly lying!
